When the emergency services received a call from a BMW involved in a road accident, police, paramedics and fire officers were quickly on the scene. Only the call wasn’t made by a person: the crash sensor in the BMW automatically activated the Emergency SOS call which alerted the 999 call centre. Automatic Emergency SOS Service is just one element of BMW Assist, part of the suite of innovative communication technologies known as BMW ConnectedDrive, technologies that work together to improve comfort, safety and entertainment.
